Bohm reading....

The beginning chapters of Bohm’s book were easy to understand. I found a lot of things in common. To illustrate, Bohm mentions that our anxieties block the listening and so the communication. We have the same concept in education, especially for second language learners. Being in a different environment, learning a different language may increase their anxiety level (so called affective filter) and inhibit learning. There are numerous researches about lowering the affective filter of the students. However, Bohm does not really mention how to decrease this anxiety so that it will not block the communication much in his chapter. He just states that we need to be aware of it.
I like his chapter about the role of assumptions on communication. I agree that we do observe and judge with our assumptions. But I could not really understand where he wants to go with his chapter on Suspension, the body, and propriocepcion .I think I understood how he used the terms and their meanings but how he wants to combine them with communication is a bit confusing.
